Some staff were not very helpful; hotel staff could not organize a taxi for us. Understand that the hotel is hereditory listed but some things we believe could be repaired.

My daughter and I stayed for a medical appointment. Our train arrived 45mins late which put back our checkin time. This was no hassle for the staff at the hotel who were very helpful and friendly.

This was a last minute booking and I grabbed the only hotel available for the date I needed (yay, Matildas!) I was very pleasantly surprised! We had a tidy family room with three comfortable beds. The room had a small basin, and the shared bathrooms were actually separate private toilet and shower rooms (one person use at a time) just across the hall. Location was perfect. Room also had a small fridge, kettle, tea/coffee etc. Convenience store right across the street. We didn't eat in the pub downstairs (more suited to adults than kids) but the food looked good. Staff also friendly at check-in. I will book here again. The lift was out of use at the time but we were warned in advance and it made no difference. The stairs were actually super cute with old-fashioned railings and little landings at each level.

check-in was unlike I've ever seen before- you go to the bar and tell them and the bartender checks you in while also serving drinks, confused me a bit to be honest as I've not had that before but it was great to stay overnight especially considering I wasn't planning on staying in the room besides to sleep- shared bathrooms was okay depends on the other guests staying in the place at the tie I'd say, great location in the middle of the CBD, not bad
